Habit: (Annual) perennial herb, cespitose, often : (20) cm, often rooting at lower : short, clustered at base of shoots; ligules of hairs or 0; blade linear, needle-like to escence: panicle-like, dense, short, scarcely elevated above et: laterally compressed; glumes +- equal, thin, 1-veined, awn-tipped or awn 0; axis breaking apart.

Blepharidachne kingii is a species of grass known by the common name King's is native to the Great Basin in the United States, where it grows in habitat such as pinyon-juniper woodland.
